Daddy Yankee Rocks Nicaragua
After a successful performance at this year’s Miss Venezuela, Daddy Yankee arrived Friday to Nicaraguan soil to bring his “Talento de Barrio” tour.
After a two year absence from the country’s stages, Daddy Yankee opened the show with a grand exhibition of fireworks that drove the crowed to their feet. Thousands of loyal fans moved and sang along with the “Boss” a repertoire of hits including “Que Tengo Que Hacer”, “Llamado de Emergencia” y “Pose” plus one of his new tracks “Echale Pique” among others.
Before leaving fans in total euforia, the “Big Boss” met German Flores backstage, a 10 year old boy who was born with cerebral paralisis and who had met the international superstar once before in 2006. German is currently the symbol of Nicaragüa’s Telethon and through his courage is an inspiration to other kids in his native country.
Remembering the words of courage his idol once said to him, the young boy not only lived his dream a second time of meeting Daddy Yankee but also surprised the “Boss” by walking. The young boy’s courage moved the “Boss” in such a way that he returned the surprise by inviting him to sing on stage for the show’s closing performance of “El Ritmo No Perdona (Prende)”.
Daddy Yankee continues adding the final touches to his upcoming release ”Daddy Yankee Mundial” whose first single is slated for worldwide release in October.
