The Grammy award winning artist brought the stage down at Staples Center in Los Angeles and continued to do the same in good company at the Guaya Guaya Festival in Cabo Rojo, Puerto Rico

MIAMI, FL, July 28,2010 -This past weekend,  Daddy Yankee jet setted from coast to coast to bring the heat to starting on the west coast. On Saturday, July 24th he took the stage in Los Angeles at the SuperEstrella 107.1’s El Reventon 2010 concert at Staples Center. Yankee played to over 20,000 fans and lit the stage with his powerful and striking energy. Among the many songs performed were his current #1 single “Descontrol”, “Gasolina”, “Pose” “Ella Me Levanto” and for the first time on the west coast the singer performed “La Despedida” which is the next single off his current release Mundial, which remains at the top of Billboard’s Latin, Latin Urban and Rap albums charts.  Yankee jumped from stage immediately to hop on a flight back to his home land of Puerto Rico, to take the stage at the Guaya Guaya Festival in Cabo Rojo. The Big Boss played for over 22,000 fans and sang fan favorites as he did in Los Angeles, but also took it back to his roots and underground fan base when he brought Don Omar on stage and sang one of Don Omar’s hit, “Hasta Abajo” but remixed freestyle on stage. They continued to wow the crowd together with “Desafio” and the Reggaeton classic “Gata Gangster”. Later on Baby Rasta , Gringo and Kendo Kaponi joined Don Omar and Daddy Yankee for another jam and the closing song “La La La Remix” .

Daddy Yankee was named by CNN as the Most Influential Hispanic Artist of 2009. He was also named by Time Magazine as one of the 100 Most Influential in the World in May 2006. Yankee was the recipient of Billboard Magazine’s Urban Latin Artist of the Decade and the Latin Album Artist of the Decade in December 2009. The Puerto Rican native has broken yet another barrier for the Latin artist community and was the first Latin Urban recording artist to guest star on CBS’ Emmy Award winning soap The Bold and the Beautiful, this past June. Yankee’s newest addition to his multi faceted career will be the second fragrance launch DYamante, The Caribbean inspired women’s fragrance will be out in department stores across the country this Summer.
