Eminem AMA leads with five, Drake, B.o.B, Daddy Yankee.

The AMA is different this year because Eminem is leading in five different music categories. While Eminem is leading, other artists including Drake, B.o.B, and Daddy Yankee. The American Music Award nominees are in and rapper Eminem and country band Lady Antebellum are ahead of the pack with 5 nominations each. Lady Antebellum will be pitted against The Black Eyed Peas and Train for best group on award night. Other nominees up for an AMA trophy on Nov. 21 at Nokia Theatre include Taylor Swift, Justin Bieber, Lady Gaga, and Katy Perry.

The Latin Superstar is the lucky one of three to receive nomination for “Favorite Latin Artist”
Miami, FL -October 12, 2010- The Big Boss, Daddy Yankee has received a nomination for the 38th Annual American Music Awards, for “Favorite Latin Artist”. The nominations were announced from Los Angeles this morning. Winners will be determined by online voting at www.amavote.com .
Daddy Yankee just wrapped the very successful European leg of his “Mundial” world tour and is also up for 3 Latin Grammy Awards this coming November. “Mundial” was released on April 27th, 2010 through El Cartel Records and distributed by Sony Music. “MUNDIAL” brought Yankee back to his Latin roots and his influences from his travels touring the world.
The 38th Annual American Music Awards will take place at the NOKIA Theatre in Los Angeles on Sunday, November 21st, 2010 on the ABC network.
Daddy Yankee was named by CNN as the Most Influential Hispanic Artist of 2009, and by Time Magazine as one of the 100 Most Influential in the World in May 2006. Yankee recently received awards by Billboard Magazine as Urban Latin Artist of the Decade and the Latin Album Artist of the Decade. The Puerto Rican native has broken yet another barrier for the Latin artist community and was the first Latin Urban recording artist to guest star on CBS’ Emmy Award winning soap The Bold and the Beautiful this past June. Yankee’s newest addition to his multi faceted career is his second fragrance, this time for the ladies called, DYamante. The Caribbean inspired women’s fragrance is out in department stores nationwide.

Puerto Rican reggaetón star Daddy Yankee is expanding his entrepreneurial reach with the launch of a new perfume for women called DYamante.
The “La Despedida” singer had already joined the long list of celebrities to put their names on a fragrance with the launch of his DY cologne for men in late 2008. Daddy Yankee said during a press conference this week that he brought the same passion and commitment to DYamante that he puts into production of his hit records and high-octane concerts.
