HIT SINGLE VEN CONMIGO HAS MORE THAN 13  MILLION VIEWS  IN VEVO IN ITS FIRST TWO WEEKS

Miami, Florida- Daddy Yankee is one of the outstanding artists with the most “likes” on his Facebook fan page. This is according to the Plus Three Agency who did a social media study to determine the impact and growth of social media in the Hispanic market. Daddy Yankee is one of the top 1,000 celebrities on the list which included President Barack Obama, George Lopez, Carlos Santana and professional soccer player Leonel Messi.

The study shows that usage of Facebook by Hispanics has increased by 167% compared to non Hispanic user increases, 21%.

In another study, Nielsen is reporting that Facebook users average four hours and thirty nine minutes on the site weekly. This usage is more than what is used in Este  Google, Yahoo,  Microsoft, Wikipedia, y Amazon combined.

Daddy Yankee has more that 8.5 million “likes” on his Facebook fanpage and more than 1.5 million followers on Twitter. His most recent hit single Ven Conmigo has more than 13 million views on VEVO less than a month after its world premiere.

Daddy Yankee was named by CNN as the Most Influential Hispanic Artist of 2009, and by Time Magazine as one of the 100 Most Influential in the World in May 2006. Yankee recently received awards by Billboard Magazine as Urban Latin Artist of the Decade and the Latin Album Artist of the Decade. The Puerto Rican native has broken yet another barrier for the Latin artist community and was  the first Latin Urban recording artist to guest star on CBS’ Emmy Award winning soap The Bold and the Beautiful in June of 2010. Yankee is currently in the studio putting final touches to his highly anticipated upcoming release, PRESTIGE due out October 2011.

Miami, FL -October 12, 2010- The Big Boss,  Daddy Yankee has received a nomination for the 38th Annual American Music Awards, for “Favorite Latin Artist”.  The nominations were announced from Los Angeles this morning.  Winners will be determined by online voting at www.amavote.com .

Daddy Yankee just wrapped the very successful European leg of his “Mundial” world tour and is also up for 3 Latin Grammy Awards this coming November.  “Mundial” was released on April 27th, 2010 through El Cartel Records and distributed by Sony Music. “MUNDIAL” brought Yankee back to his Latin roots and his influences from his travels touring the world.

The 38th Annual American Music Awards will take place at the NOKIA Theatre in Los Angeles on Sunday, November 21st, 2010 on the ABC network.

La superestrella latina goza nominación en la categoría  “Artista latino favorito”

Miami, FL -12 de octubre, 2010- El Big Boss  Daddy Yankee fue nominado para la 38ta gala anual de los American Music Awards en la categoría  “Artista Latino Favorito”.  Las  nominaciones se anunciarion hoy en la ciudad de Los Angeles, California.  Los ganadores se determinarán por el voto en línea a través de la página de web www.amavote.com .

Daddy Yankee terminó recientemente la gira de  “Mundial”  en suelo europeo el cual fue un suceso en taquilla. Puerto Rican reggaetón star Daddy Yankee is expanding his entrepreneurial reach with the launch of a new perfume for women called DYamante.

The “La Despedida” singer had already joined the long list of celebrities to put their names on a fragrance with the launch of his DY cologne for men in late 2008. Daddy Yankee said during a press conference this week that he brought the same passion and commitment to DYamante that he puts into production of his hit records and high-octane concerts.

El nombre del perfume de mujer de Daddy Yankee puede tener dos lecturas: DYamante (diamante) o Daddy Yankee amante.

La real es la primera, pero la segunda no incomoda al reguetonero, para quien está “chilin” que se le considere un latin lover. “Es DYamante, pero el amante también para las mujeres”, contestó con simpatía el reguetonero durante la presentación ayer de su nuevo producto en el Alquimia Bistro Club.
