The Latin Superstar Won In Three Of The Strongest Awarded Categories Of The Night

Miami, FL April 29, 2011- International superstar, Daddy Yankee continues to prove that he is still a movement and a leader in the Latin music industry and his genre with three wins last night at the 2011 Latin Billboard Music Awards. Yankee won in three of the strongest categories awarded; Latin Rhythm Airplay Artist of the Year-Solo, Latin Rhythm Albums Artist of the Year-Solo and Latin Rhythm Album of The Year for his #1 album, Mundial, The album has had three #1 hits including Descontrol, Grito Mundial and La Despedida.
Yankee took to Twitter to thank his fans in between talking to the media in the press room backstage: “My People, thank you, because without your support winning these awards would not have been possible! you are the best!”
Ven Conmigo featuring Prince Royce, The singer’s first single from his upcoming release Prestige, debuted in the top 15 of the Billboard Latin Rhythm Charts and came in at number 2 on iTunes sales charts in its’ first week.
Daddy Yankee is currently in the studio putting finishing touches for Prestige which is due out this coming summer.
