Por tercer día consecutivo las instalaciones del Estadio Olímpico de Maracay, estuvieron repletas de fans, que disfrutaron anoche de un súper concierto con dos de los más grandes exponentes del reggaetón: Daddy Yankee y Don Omar, los reyes del género urbano que prendieron la fiesta con su muy peculiar estilo, haciendo “sandunguear” a todos los presentes hasta más no poder.

En su reciente visita a Perú el cantante recibió homenaje
Miami, FL 19 de septiembre del 2011- El rey de la música urbana Daddy Yankee fue inmortalizado en un grafitti en Perú. El cantante visitó el Barrio de Puerto Nuevo en “El Callao” donde compartió con los vecinos del lugar, se tomó fotos y hasta regaló sus lentes.
Daddy Yankee fue recibido por miles de fanáticos en las calles de “El Callao” y un grafitti al que el artista puertorriqueño le regaló los lentes que llevaba puesto al creador del mismo como una muestra de agradecimiento y respeto por su trabajo. Desde tempranas horas los fans lo esperaron al barrio donde se formó un tumulto.
“Gracias a toda la gente de “El Callao”, se guillaron de verdad que se les quiere”, dijo el cantante a los medios a su salida. El mural, realizado por los jóvenes del programa ExpresArte (promovido por la Municipalidad del Callao y la Policía Nacional del Perú), fue firmado por el reconocido músico antes de su salida.
Daddy Yankee visitó Perú donde participó en el Lima Fest 2011 en el Estadio Monumental.

Miami, FL 2 de junio del 2011- Luego del exitoso lanzamiento del sencillo “Ven Conmigo” de Daddy Yankee junto a Prince Royce, posicionado en el tercer lugar en ventas según iTunes, y mientras llega la salida de su nuevo disco, “Prestige”, prevista para los próximos meses, el intérprete continúa reforzando la salida del primer sencillo “Ven Conmigo” con el estreno mundial del vídeo de la canción filmado en Miami.
El vídeo muestra el estilo más puro de Daddy Yankee, buscando recrear una conexión entre el reggaetón y la bachata uniendo a dos voces líderes de sus géneros. Un escenario fílmico que invita a escuchar y a ver las imágenes muy bien logradas por el director y creador del concepto Carlos Pérez de Elastic People, estrenará el viernes, 3 de junio a través de VEVO.com. Como todos sus vídeos, El Boss repite su creatividad y transmite su carisma y su estilo acompañado de su cuerpo de bailarines y la imponente banda sonora.
“Cuando trabajé en la parte creativa de “Ven Conmigo” quise exponer la química que se dio de entre ambos artistas, Daddy Yankee y Prince Royce. En el vídeo, ambos intérpretes tienen su espacio de expresión musical sin que uno invalide al otro, logramos una combinación realmente interesante y diversa. Ven Conmigo makes its way to fans with its
sizzling hot world premiere on VEVO Friday June 3rd
Miami, FL, June 2, 2011- After the successful debut release of Daddy Yankee’s new single, Ven Conmigo featuring Prince Royce, which came in at number 3 in sales on iTunes, The Big Boss continues to heat things up with the much anticipated world premiere of the video for the must have single of the Summer. The video will premiere exclusively on VEVO Friday the 3rd of June.
The video was shot on location in Miami under the direction of Carlos Perez (Elastic People). It is no mystery that some of Daddy Yankee’s most memorable music videos are those that successfully feature his charisma and performances infused by dancers and a powerhouse track.”Ven Conmigo” is a provocative performance video that showcases the collaboration between Yankee and Prince Royce. In the video, they both find a mysterious compound that has no rules, only to let their music heat things up. The video is full of very industrial scenes with rawness and pyrotechnic effects. “As always, there is mad respect for Yankee and collaborating with him once again is always an awesome challenge. In this case he gave me the opportunity to work with another musical monster in the making. The song is gonna be big.” comments director, Carlos Perez.
“We are creatively breaking musical barriers on every angle and we are giving listeners the most as artists collaborating. The chemistry was very organic.” commented Yankee whose sold more that 8 million records.

Daddy Yankee’s eighth upcoming studio release Prestige is due out this Summer and will include other collaborations amongst the artist’s solo tracks.

Miami, FL - February 10th, 2011- International superstar, Daddy Yankee has received seven nominations for the 2011 Billboard Latin Music Awards. Nominations include Hot Latin Songs Artist Of The Year, Tropical Airplay of The Year and Latin Rhythm Album of The Year. The nominations come as no surprise as the singer’s last production, Mundial has gained him multiple Latin Grammy, Premio Lo Nuestro, MTV Video Music Award and American Music Awards nominations. The Billboard Latin Music Award nominations were announced live this morning via the Telemundo network.
“Thanks to my fans for taking me to this level of receiving all of these nominations! The Billboard Awards are the ones with the most credibility, because they showthe music that the public really listens to.” commented Daddy Yankee from his home in Puerto Rico.
The Billboard Latin Music Awards honors the most popular albums, songs, and performers in Latin music, as determined by sales and radio airplay data that informs Billboard’s weekly charts during a one-year period from the issue dated February 6, 2010 through this year’s January 29, 2011 issue. Puerto Rican reggaetón star Daddy Yankee is expanding his entrepreneurial reach with the launch of a new perfume for women called DYamante.
The “La Despedida” singer had already joined the long list of celebrities to put their names on a fragrance with the launch of his DY cologne for men in late 2008. Daddy Yankee said during a press conference this week that he brought the same passion and commitment to DYamante that he puts into production of his hit records and high-octane concerts.
